Link Self-advocacy Group
CASBA's Link self -advocacy group engages with younger adults with learning disabilities.
We enable them to come together to be the voice of people with learning disabilities within their local community.
We talk about things that affect our lives.
We have guest speakers who can talk to us about different things
We explore our creative sides by making different kinds of artwork.
This group is being developed and facilitated by a member of staff and a volunteer who have learning disabilities. They are also being supported by a volunteer from the local community and another member of CASBA’s staff.
We started small, but would like to grow. Contact rita.lee@casba.org.uk if you are interested in being part of this group.
See this video of Michaela talking about some of the things we did in the first few months of the group:
This project is funded by the Charities Aid Foundation.
